Eloise Butler Wildlife Garden & Bird Sanctuary's Selected Naturalists' Notes
The EBWG Naturalists document the weekend happenings of mammal, avian, insect, and plant species throughout the nesting season. Over time, these notes help park naturalists to better understand the dynamics of the park’s flora and fauna.
Audubon Center of the North Woods' Wildlife Rehabilitation Data
The Audubon Center of the North Woods receives injured and orphaned wild animals from the general public and maintains a license to rehabilitate them on their premises or transfer them for specialized care to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Roseville, MN or to The Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota Saint Paul Campus.
Audubon Center of the North Woods' Program Raptors

All of the centers raptors come from the Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota in St. Paul. They all have permanent injuries that deem them non-releasable. Each of the raptors now live permanently at the center acting as ambassadors for their species. Presented are all of the center's current residents, their life history, photos and some natural history about each individual species.
Independent Wildlife Rehabilitators' Avian Data
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources in conjunction with the US Fish and Wildlife Service, grants wildlife rehabilitation licenses to trained individuals for the purposes of rescuing and rehabilitating wild injured and orphaned animals (birds) and releasing them back to the wild. Between 10,000 and 12,000 animals are handled by rehabilitators each year in Minnesota. Some of Minnesota's rehabbers that specialize in birds have agreed to share some of their patients' records with BirdXBird.-

Notes: cloudy, hot 90s. Prairie was magical after dramatic thunderstorms. Mist hung in the air like a curtain and sun rays broke through the oaks creating beautiful patterns. Simply a beautiful night.

Notes: Beautiful display of active warblers – baby and mom peeping back and forth at each other. Then a catbird chimed in with his whiny cries. The cardinal peeked by to see what all the action was as the male and female indigo buntings actively looked and searched for food. Then from a distance, the pileated woodpecker introduced himself as he flew to the top of the cotton wood along with greetings from the common yellowthroat.
